These foolish things….

Vintage 9ct and 10ct gold, garnets, amethyst, diamond, cultured pearl, white precious metal, 22ct gold leaf, fire-stain. 75mm x 62mm x 11mm

The vintage rings have been cut, flattened, hammered with stones and hung through crudely drilled holes and slots. Fixtures such as pegs, tabs and the brooch fixing are all purposefully basic and visible, bringing the previously unseen to the surface. The form of the brooch references post war artist and studio jewellery.
