Rooms for ideas - a collective exhibition of contemporary jewellery by The Line Up

Hastings Museum & Art Gallery - until Sunday 19 February 2012

Each maker was randomly alloted a room within the museum from which to draw inspiration for
jewellery or objects to be worn or carried about the person.

"Having been alloted the Wildlife Room, Jo McAllister found her lot to be dark, dusty and dead. As the only life in the room, wild or otherwise, the only thing of which she was certain was that she would not reference taxidermy. Information in the room about the local landscapes that its long dead residents had once inhabited proved exciting for it gave licence to explore..."

Jewellery and objects for observation, collection and enjoyment.
